The Brown Recluse
Spiders are notorious in TN, especially the brown recluse. This spider lives in dark corners and places inside the houses, and also under the furniture, boxes and books. The spider is not aggressive but will often bite humans because they share the same habitat. The spider can survive six months without food or water. The spider typically hides in the daytime and roams at night. If you are bitten or think you have been bitten by a brown recluse you should seek immediate medical attention. The bite will turn into an ulcerous type sore. The longer one waits the harder it becomes to counteract the venom and muscle/tissue damage.
Tips to help avoid spider bites:
Keep clothes and shoes off the floor
Keep garages, attics, and basements clean and clutter free
Of course if you have a spider problem contact a certified pest control company
