Have you noticed that your dishes have spots on them after they've come out of the dishwasher? More and more states passing laws banning the use of phosphates from detergents.  The ban was put in place to keep phosphates from entering lakes, rivers, and other water systems.  So the changes in the detergent's formula may be causing people to think something is wrong with their dishwasher. 

If you haven't used these they may be helpful in preventing spots: water softners, dishwasher salts and rinse aids.
